After a one-year hiatus, the Firecracker 5000 emerges like a phoenix as a reborn event for 2017 and beyond.  We still like the late-in-the-day aspect, but we didn't like the fact that the "firecracker" aspect was minimal at the Seattle Center on July 3rd.  By moving to Magnuson Park, with its Kite Hill view of the Kirkland fireworks display, we actual come closer to achieving our original intent.
